Since the spring of 2000 I have been writing a column for National Review Online.   It started out twice weekly (approximately); then I started doing RADIO DERB weekly, and that took over one column slot.  I also do occasional movie or book reviews for NRO.

Since May 2006 I have also been posting a monthly column on  New English Review.

I also contribute occasionally to other web magazines and their associated blogs.  (Though blog posts are not archived here, only full-length columns.)

Each of the links below takes you to a list of web columns from the corresponding period.  "Favorites" is just a repeat list of some pieces from all periods that people tell me they particularly like.

For simplicity, I have categorized the pieces in the lists linked to below in the same way I have for print journalism:  "R" for book reviews, "A" for general-interest articles, and "C" for serious literary criticism, with a plus sign alongside unpublished pieces that I none the less thought worth preserving.  In fact, practically all my web work to date has been articles  that is, opinion journalism.
